Chris Franke
Babylon 5 Vol 2
|
Erm, this is going to be a bit tricky. What more can I say about this CD that I haven't already said about 'Pax Terra'? It's got a very professional looking booklet!... but so has PT. There's a potted history of Chris's musical career included... but so has PT (infact it's exactly the same one, word for word). The same promo photo of Chris is used, together with the same polished scaffolding graphics. The music includes sampled snippets from 'Encore'! ...erm, but so does PT.
OK, so I'm being flippant about what is undoubtedly a very professionally produced CD. But Chris is ploughing such a narrow furrow at the moment that I really am running out of ideas, and so is he by the sounds of it. I challenge anyone to distinguish this from 'Babylon 5 Vol1 ', 'Night of the Running Man', 'Universal Soldier' the aforementioned 'Pax Terra' etc etc. Please Dave, let me review 'The Celestine Prophecy' so I can say something positive about Chris Franke!
