Simply but immaculately presented, these CDs have come as somewhat of a revelation. All 10 tracks are different versions of a single theme, but reworked, remixed and reconstituted in so many different ways that boredom doesn’t get a look in.

The base material is a silken theme often played on lush pads. Detail in the form of rhythm and sequencing served up in a bewildering array of versions and styles. Deep canyons of bass, the most delicate of motifs, subtle and creative interplay.

The Remix album is the pick of the two, containing stunning examples such as ‘V8 Remix 1 (Confession Mix)’ or ‘V13 Remix 4 (Radio Dreams Mix Short Edit) - ‘V13’ must be a particular favourite, 4 versions are included. The CD single presents the music in its more basic form, mainly bereft of rhythm but by no means bereft of appeal or stature. I can’t tear myself away from these - they are both completely brilliant . Fans of Asana or Global Communication should waste not a single moment. Ambient Chill with the coolest edge. (GG)
