'Dimensions' forms the final part of the trilogy following on from 'Species' and 'Structures' and is the culmination of 8 years of field recordings from various locations across the world combined with 4 years of composition, live recordings and studio arrangements.

Essentially Wave World is a multimedia project which attempts to transport the audience to a computer generated alien world, of another time and dimension, through music and projections onto a large video screen. The graphics on display on the sleeve and previewed on the trailer appear to be very impressive indeed, but what of the music?

Well in many ways it lives up to expectations and is highly impressionistic ambient music set in the furthest regions of space. The album is divided into a seven part 'Odyssey' and in places sounds like a lost soundtrack for '2001 A Space Odyssey' comprising of ominous drones, discordant textures and occasionally awe-inspiring effects to accompany the appearance of inexplicable monoliths, or in this case, alien landscapes and exotic lifeforms. The extended seventh Odyssey, clocking in at over seventeen minutes, has a rare semblance of rhythm and form for the first few minutes but soon dissolves into more cosmic and surreal sounds until the fifteen minute mark when an eccentric sequence brings the piece to a conclusion.

The sleeve notes inform us that a fantasy motion picture will feature characters and a story line as well as elements from live events and will also be published in novel form as well as an animated soundtrack. This one will test the credentials of any aspiring space cadet and is really "out there". (SR)
