Tangerine Dream Luminous Visions

Strange one to review this. For a start it is a boxed combination of CD and Video. It makes it very clear on the packaging that the two can not be sold separately. The CD is a compilation of ‘Rockoon’ through to ‘Oasis’ period TD and represents the music on the video. It is likely to be a very rare item in the UK and Europe and I have only purchased very few of them and as far as I know we are the only ones stocking it. I will not be getting any more because postage from the USA of such a heavy package is very expensive. So why is it going to be such a rare item over here? The reason is that the video is only playable on video players that recognise the USA format, you just get a load of interference if you play it on a standard player. If you have someone that can convert it to UK format for you then this release represents very good value for money if not it is really just for those that must own all of TD compilation CDs. From what I can gather there are no plans for a UK compatible video release. I am no expert on later TD so I am not sure if all the mixes on this album have been previously released.
