Another of his series of CDs with the elements as the inspiration. The title track starts proceedings with a driving rhythm that chugs along being very foot tapping and infectious. There are also some lovely lead lines. All in all a powerful track to get the album off in a no nonsense fashion. The second track is split into two parts the first being a very atmospheric spaced out offering called 'Stormspell' before a stonking sequencer line is introduced after seven minutes heralding part two 'On Mercury's Wings'. This sequenced section mutates beautifully throughout the track and becomes more prominent creating an exiting framework for the lead line to weave in and out of - absolutely brilliant! The next track is also split into two sections, the first 'The Watcher' contains a lovely organ sound which leads into a fine lead line and then rhythmic section which I assume is 'Aurura'. 'Beyond the Clouds' is a calm reflective track which leads us to the final piece 'Airborn' (the shortest track) which unfortunately finishes this otherwise superb CD on a rather weak note. (DL)
