(Excerpt from track 'Come And Taste The Band Part 2')
Three CDs are presented in a very nice box. What you get are two CDs reviewed elsewhere, that is 'The Reason Why.......' and 'Project Inter.com' plus one CD that isn't available anywhere else called 'Drei'. It features K&S plus Bas Broekhuis. There are two tracks on offer, both sequencer heaven, with a total running time of fifty three minutes. It is a great CD and as the other two CDs, as I have already explained are superb CDs as well this is something of an essential purchase for Keller & Schonwalder fans.

The first thing you hear is a sequence over dark drones and as usual with K&S it is great. A second sequence speeds up. Already AirSculpture comes to mind in the way the sequences mutate and changes pattern. The rhythm and high hat accompaniment also act more like a sequence. At three minutes a blistering lead line enters making this already highly energetic number even more exciting. By the five minutes mark Klaus Schulze (70's) influences again come to the fore as more and more is added competing for your attention and yet remaining a cohesive whole at the same time. This reminded me in some ways to 'X' or 'Live' as Bas' drumming is a dead ringer for Harald Grosskopf. For the retro faithful I am sure I have said enough already to make this a must have item. At sixteen minutes a brilliant flutey synth lead line is added which provides a nice contrast to the tour de force underneath.

By twenty minutes the sequence is stripped down to a single pulsating note but then even this fades away. We float for a couple of minutes then another beautiful laid back lead line comes in and gives the track a proper ending rather than just fading out. The second track has a rather cosmic beginning with the occasional drum flourish from Bas. The drums become more frequent but are still restrained following no particular pattern that I could work out. A 'squelchy' sequence comes in. Its the sort of track that is mesmerizing but very relaxing at the same time. Another pulsation starts up at just over the half way mark and the lead line becomes more insistent as the track becomes more intense. The pads swell adding further to the excitement. Its a track that should be liked tremendously by Schulze fans but to me it sounded closer to his 90's work.

If you have purchased 'Reason Why...' and / or 'Project inter.com' already and would like to complete your set just send the difference in price to me and I will send you the box and the remaining disc as well. (DL)
