Wet Dreams
|
No, your eyes do not deceive you. The title of this CD is 'Wet Dreams' and the cover depicts a couple indulging in more than a casual peck on the cheek.
The track titles go as follows... 'Touch', 'Hills and Valleys', 'Heading for Heaven', 'And the Earth Moved' and 'Afterglow' (performed very different to Genesis needless to say!) Yes folks, this is the most blatant album of bonking EM ever to be released. So now we've got that out of the way, let's have no more sniggering and get on with the music. As expected this is a collection of laid back (no sniggering I said) musical excursions based largely around chugging rhythmics, silken strings & pads, and delicate melodics picked out on electric piano and synths. Fans of the gushing romanticism of Constance Demby will certainly like 'Hills and Valleys', while those into heavy breathing will delight at 'Heading for Heaven'. 'And the Earth Moved' is an entertaining outing with a strong theme woven into an Enigma style beat, and 'Afterglow' again impresses with a lush style which perhaps deserves to be taken more seriously. But that's the problem. How can you possibly take any album called 'Wet Dreams' seriously? (GG)
