It's the first time we have advertised an album which is on a plain CDR without any artwork. I am slightly uncomfortable about it thus the very cheap price. The guy behind 'Dreamers' doesn't have the facility to create any images for the artwork and unfortunately we didn't have the time to help him out but the music here is extremely enjoyable with some excellent 'tunes' so we were prepared to try and give him some exposure through our mag in the hope that one of the other EM labels which aren't quite as strapped for time as we are can pick it up.

'Adventure' starts with a very powerful deep ominous drone. Melodic pads then swell giving an epic film music feel. A beautiful acoustic guitar melody closes the track. 'The Traveller' uses more melodic pads for a base over which bounces a tuneful sequence. It's a very enjoyable happy track. A steady beat comes in which drives things forward until having a break for a beautiful interlude, the lead line staying even when the rhythm returns. 'Bells' is another stunner. An exquisite lead line and acoustic guitar combine reaching straight for the heart. Wonderful stuff! 'Solace One' changes the mood to one of melancholy. It is rather laid back, the mournful pads almost crying out taking a direct path to the soul. 'Galaxies', as the title suggests, begins with cosmic sounds. To these are added an acoustic guitar lead line and more melodic pads. It reminded me a little of Peter Seiler actually.

A more conventional lead then enters and things become almost euphoric with a hint of Vangelis. 'Journey Through Time' is another joyous number which builds up quite a head of steam when a steady rhythm and laser sharp lead line come in. A sequence bubbles into life at the beginning of 'The Dreamers Run' then a steady bass beat and high hat combination join it, motoring at quite a pace. The title track is a much more relaxed affair. Another acoustic guitar melody gently floats from the speakers. The backing swells and a virtual electric guitar comes in creating quite an optimistic atmosphere. It reminded me a little of Mike Andrews. 'The Dreamers End' starts with the sound of the wind, then a slow throb with an organ sound in the background. A delicate sequence starts up, the pace rather sedate. Whimsical melodies float over the top ending the CD peacefully.

This is a truly beautiful album and just has to get a proper release. Our own label has a full roster already, can anyone else out there help? (DL)

Dit is de eerste keer dat we een album plaatsen dat op een kale CDR komt en zonder artwork. Ik voel me er zelf niet erg lekker bij, vandaar de lage prijs. De man achter 'Dreamers' heeft zelf de faciliteiten niet om voor tekeningen voor het artwork te zorgen en spijtig genoeg hadden we er zelf de tijd niet voor. De muziek is echter erg aangenaam met enkele uitzonderlijke stukken, dus waren we bereid hem wat aandacht te geven, met de hoop dat een ander EM-label hem kan ontdekken.

"Adventure" start met een erg diepe onheilspellende drone. Melodische tapijten geven dit dan een episch filmmuziek-gevoel. De track wordt afgesloten met een mooie akoestische gitaar. "The Traveller" gebruikt ook melodische paden waarover zich een sequence beweegt, een erg aangename en prettige track. Er komt een stevige beat opzetten die alles voortduwt tot aan een geweldig interludium, de solo blijft voortgaan zelfs wanneer het ritme terugkomt. "Bells" is ook geweldig. Een fijne sololijn in combinatie met een akoestische gitaar raken je hart. Erg mooi! "Solace One" is dan weer ontroerender, heel ontspannend met tapijten die erom vragen je ziel te mogen raken. "Galaxies" – zoals de titel suggereert - begint met kosmische klanken. Hier komen dan ook weer akoestische gitaar en een melodielijn bij. Het deed me een beetje aan Peter Seiler denken. Verder wordt het bijna euforisch met een hint naar Vangelis. "Journey Through Time" is ook een prettig nummer met een stevige beat en een laserscherpe solo.
